The Castlemilk Moorit Sheep Society exists to support all aspects of the breed and to encourage the ownership, breeding and welfare of Castlemilk Moorit Sheep by:

Actively promoting all the various uses of Castlemilk Moorit sheep;

Encouraging members to actively acquire and breed Castlemilk Moorit sheep;

Providing information and support to members to help preserve the genetic base of the breed;

Providing advice and information, to both new and existing owners, about topics useful to the breeding and welfare of Castlemilk Moorit sheep;

Encouraging and contributing to programmes of study and research that help the conservation and welfare of the breed
