The Appleby family have farmed for three generations over 800 acres at Bretforton House Farm, which converted to organic in August 2000. As part of the organic ethos they grow as much of the cow feed as possible on the family farm and refrain from using chemicals. They have 280 pedigree Holstein cows which they thoroughly enjoy breeding, showing and generally looking after. All "Spot Loggins" ice creams are produced with the finest organic milk from their cows, and wherever possible, local fruit is used to enhance the natural flavourings used in their wide range of flavours. All delicious ingredients are 100% traceable.

There is many a gruesome tale surrounding the origin of the Spot Loggins’ ghost. Some say she was a lady up to no good or worse… Some say he was a cattle drover who drowned in the well when he was drunk. Local believe that any who runs around the well three times while blindfolded will lose anything they are carrying.But all agree she or he dances around the Spot Loggins Well in the meadow opposite the farm buildings when no-one is looking!
