OUR BRAND VALUES*

Sourdough House (Trading as La Parisienne) was established in 1993 in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Two teams of master bakers work 7 days a week night and day to produce wholesome bespoke artisan bakery produce. Bringing real flavours to the many and not the few.

OUR COMMITMENTS*

Sustainability

By sourcing sustainable goods from our suppliers we are in turn able to supply an as sustainable product to our customers by ensuring fresh local goods & recyclable goods.

Environment

Environmental welfare is important to us and by keeping waste and any over producing to a minimum we assist in being environmentally friendly. We source as locally as possible and more than often are in receipt of goods that have no, minimal or recyclable packaging. 95% of our bread is supplied loose to the customers in bread baskets.

Local Communities

Family and Community is important to us. As much as possible we purchase locally. When doing an event or promotion our breads and pastries are often donated to a local foodbank or care home. We host an annual schools trip to the bakery where 2 or 3 schools are invited to our bake school to learn, watch and take part in the art of bread making. We also make an annual donation to The Circus Starr charity benefiting children.

Packaging & Waste

We pride ourselves on minimal waste, whilst we recycle all we can and have our regular recycling and refuse collections, we strive to keep this low. We have a strict production schedule of our goods and generally there is no waste or excess goods from over production. We only wrap our goods if requested thus reducing packaging on most of our products. Our flour bags are recyclable.

Inspiring & Educating

Our annual schools week is all about inspiring and educating the art and skill of bread making. It has been both enjoyable and rewarding to watch and listen to the school children over the years potentially bringing out the inner baker in themselves. We have also employed and encouraged apprentices through college schemes.

Energy Reduction

We operate a strict and efficient delivery schedule with our drivers and vehicles to minimise fuel consumption by making sure all delivery routes are well organised by mileage and distance. Our vehicles are regularly maintained and cleaned to achieve healthy, safe and minimal mileage. Our L.E.D lighting & electrics are used efficiently and regular checks assist with energy efficiency.

Nutritional Values

We strive to source local products and use fresh ingredients in our overnight baked products fresh to the customer the following morning. We supply labels on request to list ingredients to the customer and adhere to the strict information requests of allergens.
